Deaf, DeafBlind, DeafDisabled and Hard of Hearing (DDBDDHH) consumers of sign language interpreting services are the owners of their individual interpreter preferences and linguistic needs.
PSLI, Inc. has always welcomed and appreciated consumers informing us of their interpreter preference list, including the names of interpreters with whom they do not prefer to work and their particular situational preferences. Now, this can be done online by filling out the form below and communicating your sign language interpreter preferences directly to our office.
PSLI, Inc. strives to match the right interpreter on every single interpreting assignment. When the coordinating office receives an interpreting request, we consider all parts of the assignment and consumers involved (including their preferences) and personalize the coordination by contacting one interpreter at a time. We do not email multiple interpreters simultaneously.
Expressing your preferred interpreter does not guarantee that they will be available for all future appointments; however, it does mean that the PSLI, Inc. coordinating office will attempt to schedule them first.
Interpreter preferences are kept confidential in our secure scheduling system.
