About Brielle Perea Johnson
Brielle was born in Albuquerque, NM, where she earned her bachelor's degree in Sign Language Interpreting from the University of New Mexico. She moved to Denver one year later and continued her work as an interpreter. In 2012 she moved to Washington, D.C. and earned her master's degree in School Social Work from Gallaudet University in 2014. She then returned to Denver and her work as an interpreter. She has worked in K-12, VRS, medical, mental health, government, non-profit, as well as within colleges and universities. She has the utmost respect and admiration for the Deaf community and knows she could not do what she loves, interpreting, without the Deaf community's support. She has 2 young sons who keep her busy, a loving husband who is the opposite of her in all the best ways, and an energetic dog who can outrun anyone. She enjoys laughing as much as possible and tries to see the good in every situation. She knows learning must be continuous to be the best version of herself.
