About Lesley Joseph
Lesley just relocated to the great state of Colorado after spending the last 10 years working as an interpreter in Austin, Texas. Born and raised in El Paso, Texas she received her BA in Psychology from Texas Tech University in Lubbock where I met a deaf person for the first time. Her curiosity about the Deaf community and ASL led her to attend graduate school at Gallaudet University where Lesley received her MA in Mental Health Counseling and had an amazing experience she will keep with her always. She began her interpreting career in Washington D.C.where she did a lot of government work and learned a lot from her very talented peers. Upon achieving her national certification (NIC), Lesley was ready to return to Texas and focus on hercareer and setting up roots. She spent 10 years working in a wonderful community where she learned so much from her peers, consumers, and friends and also managed to achieve a BEI Master certification. Lesley wants to continue that path here in Colorado as she meets and get to work with the diverse and amazing community that is already here.
